Hello there friend,

Have you ever wondered if the music and sound levels around you are at safe levels? Are you considering a move to a noisy part of town and want a way to get more info on the sound levels? Have you ever been to a rock concert and wondered what distance is safe to stand from the main speakers, or you yourself as a session artist ever wondered if you should wear hearing protection during a gig?

Well, look no further! This app listens to the perceived power levels of the sound moving around you, and converts the power level into a measure of sound intensity called the decibel. The higher the decibel rating, the more damaging the sound may be. Typically a sound level above 90 - 100 decibels is cause to take note.

The app displays a readout of the power levels in a visual graph. If the graph is green, you are good to go, if the graph is red, reconsider your proximity to the sound, or wear some hearing protection.

App is meant to simply be informative and informational. Please use at your own risk and discretion. The nature of the sound equipment on a phone is not as reliable as a professional dedicated sound meter. Please consider using professional equipment for more refined and precise readouts if needed.
